This tour combines two of Lapland’s most iconic activities in a single, unforgettable day. Start with a thrilling 5 km self-drive husky safari, where you guide your own team of energetic huskies as they dash through snowy forests and open landscapes. Afterwards, slow down the pace with a peaceful 2–3 km reindeer sleigh ride and experience the traditional Sámi way of winter travel. We include transfers, winter clothing, and all necessary equipment to keep you comfortable. To complete the day, step inside a cozy teepee, where your hosts serve open-fire salmon soup with warm drinks and share stories about local culture and traditions.

You don’t need any previous experience to join this tour. Before the safari begins, your guide will give you clear instructions on how to handle the sled, keep your balance, and communicate with the huskies. Two people share each husky sled—one drives while the other sits comfortably, and you can switch roles halfway. The ride is exciting and fast-paced, but we design it for beginners and families so that everyone can enjoy it safely. Children can sit in the sled, which makes it a memorable adventure for the whole family.

This adventure suits most travelers with a normal level of fitness. Driving a husky sled requires some balance and the ability to stand for about 30–40 minutes, while the reindeer ride offers a calm and relaxing experience. You will only walk short distances, mostly around the farm and between activities. We provide warm winter overalls and boots to keep you comfortable even in colder weather. As with all outdoor Arctic activities, dress in layers underneath the gear we provide to stay warm throughout the day.
